I realize I have been slack in updating the website, but the past week or so has been spent on catching up with day-to-day operations at the radio station. We've been working on the things we do every day, and I saw no need to bore you all with the mundane details of our day-to-day activities. I also spent some time on brokerage work this morning, for the first time since the fire. Over the weekend, I received many emails from folks asking for an update. I'll run out to the WANO site and take some pictures of the completed building tomorrow, so you'll see where we are.

This evening, I attended the Pineville City Council meeting, to give an update of our progress. At the moment, we are waiting on one single piece of equipment, then we are ready to sign on again. Initially, we thought that our Antenna Tuning Unit at the base of the tower was in good repair and needed no work. However, when we began the process of tuning the unit to the new transmitter and transmission line last week, we found that the ATU was a mess, and had to be rebuilt. It was a tough blow, as we expected to be on the air by early last week. Instead, we expect to be on the air within about a week of today. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we hopefully enter the final days of our wait. In the meantime, we can only sit and wait.

I promise I'll keep you all updated, when I have news and pictures to share. We are also planning a big even for the week we sign on. You all, of course, are invited. I'll share details as soon as we work them out! This website has received over 30,000 hits in the three weeks since the fire. I am humbled and amazed at the outpouring of support we've received since our tragedy. Thank you all for what you have done, even if it was a simple thought of prayer. I assure you all that we have, in fact, made lemonade from the lemons!
